Persona:  Mary Jane
Worked at mid-sized company for 10 years as HR associate.
Married with 2 children (10 & 8). She likes to jump on to Facebook to see what friends are doing, as well as play a bit of Candy Crush. She likes to read People Magazine.

Demographics:
Female Age 24-35
Income: 40-70k

Site Audit

    • Get user feedback from Usertesting.com and identify areas that are causing grief for site visitors.

    • Identify problematic areas such as browser incompatibility, ads freeze up, slow page load. Clean up the layout, and improve readability.

 


Solutions

  • mute the video ad and change the placement, implement lazy loading, and responsive images for faster load time.
  • Modify slideshow component into a vertical scroll, which also beneficial to mobile layout.
  • Add bookmark feature for users to return for their saved content.
  • Use social feature for fast login to comment and save content.
  • Newsletter email collection for exclusive contents.
  • Improve comment area to reduce page length
  • Use search results to inform better site structure.
  • Collect user feedback for the next iteration.



Result:

Increase overall page view with over 100% after the implementation.
